It’s been a long week of work at office and finally, weekend is here. So, what special have you planned for your kids and family? While we are not saying that your plans are a little boring, we definitely want to say that we have an interesting plan for you. How about taking out your kids for dinner? Not only you will get to spend time with them but also the gesture will make your kids feel extremely happy and special.

Eating out with kids can be a difficult task to execute. Kids are known to be naughty. They can get cranky when their demands are fulfilled. Here are a few tips to follow to make the experience smooth:

  • Choose kids friendly restaurants – Not all the restaurants are kids friendly and thus, you need to be careful about choosing the place for dinner with your little ones. Kids friendly restaurants have special corner where your kids can play. They also serve kids friendly food – something more colorful and at the same time healthy too. There are many such restaurants in America. Las Olas bars is one such place you visit.
  • Choose healthy items from the menu – Just because you are eating out doesn’t mean that you are bound to pick unhealthy food items. Check the menu at the restaurant and pick grilled stuff, salads etc. Yes, your kid might not like the word ‘salad’ but how about surprising them with healthy salads with cheesy pastas?

  • Kids don’t like vegetables – The best way to make your kids eat veggies is by adding colors to it. Order for vegetable platter and few extra dips.  Also, if kids eat vegetables then they won’t be indulging in extra calories in the form of cold drinks or other sugary liquids.
  • A little bit of teaching in advance – Kids are innocent. They learn from you. Thus, it’s your duty to teach them all the manners, dos and don’ts of eating out. Tell them in advance what they can expect at the restaurant. When the expectations are clear, things tend to get less messy. At the same time, don’t be too harsh with them. Let them enjoy a little bit of playtime along with the food while dining out.

Follow these simple tips and tricks and you will have very good time eating out with your kids. They will feel happy and the whole thing will make you feel happy too. Happy dining!
